My wife's nephew is in his 30's and has been in the National Guard for 18 years.I've known him since he was born.He was on a peace mission in Ahganistan when a bomb went off which killed several soldiers with him.
He survived and was sent to a hospital in Landstuhl,Germany.He is now at Walter Reed.His body is messed up and I'm trying to find out how bad.Maybe I don't want to know.My heart hurts as it is.Eventually I will Know.
I found this out last week and the next day I received my AARP magazine.There was a big article on how our wounded soldiers are being treated by the military.The mother of one soldier went threw hell to insure her son was given proper medical treatment.My conclusion is the military wants either of two things to happen.
1)Get you out of Walter Reed quick and back to war.
2)Get you out of Walter Reed and to a VA Hospital if your not mobile to fire a weapon.
This mother walked into her son's room to find an officer handing her son a pen to sign a release form.The son is blind and brain damaged.The mother prevented this and was able to keep him there under expert medical attention.Several politicians said you have to act like a badger to get fair medical attention.
It is no wonder that some of us Americans distrust our goverment.

This is so sad since these men & ladies are over sea's protecting America and its people. Shame on our government!!!!!!!!!
